Archaeologists Ernie Boszhardt and Danielle Benden will be doing a presentation on the early Cahokian Colony (Mississippi Initiative) finds they found during the digs done in Trempealeau in the summers of 2010 and 2011.

Natural Building at Perrot State Park
11:00am Perrot State Park
Enjoy a day at Perrot State Park for the following events: 11:00am - Noon, Natural Building. 2:00pm Intro to Geo caching. Learn how to use a GPS. Bring yours or they will also be available. Then travel out to find 3 temporary geocaches put out. 6:00pm Paddle by the Bay. Canoes or kayaks available to rent or bring your own. No experience necessary.

Intro to Orienteering, plus much more at the park
10:00pm Perrot State Park
10:00am learn how to use a good old fashion compass. 2:00pm, Constellations Finders. Stop by and hear the reading of Coyote Places the Stars, then make some take home constellation finders that you can use to find some common constellations. 7:30pm, enjoy Cool of the Hike. Walk along Wilber's Trail (2 1/2 miles) just before sunset and returning well after dark. Mosquito protection is highly recommended and a flash light is needed.

Remember to stay in a group, walk on the sidewalk, wear clothing that fits and is bright or has glow in the dark attached, carry a flashlight and REMIND your kids not to enter a persons vehicle or home that they do not know.
